Dr David Engelman is an experienced audiologist dedicated to providing ethical, evidence-based hearing care for adults. Originally from New York City, David earned his clinical doctorate in audiology (Au.D.) from the City University of New York in 2014.   Since then, he has worked in a range of settings, including private practices in both the USA and the UK, as well as the NHS.  He has extensive experience in hearing assessments, hearing aid fittings, and hearing rehabilitation. David is registered with the Health & Care Professions Council as both a hearing aid dispenser and a clinical scientist.  He also maintains a position as a Specialist Adult Audiologist with an NHS hospital trust serving Hertfordshire and Essex.

David is both the audiologist and owner of Finchley Hearing, a fully independent audiology practice serving Finchley and the wider North London area.  He provides comprehensive hearing assessments, private hearing aids, earwax removal, and custom hearing protection.  His approach is warm and friendly, grounded in scientific best practice with a commitment to unbiased, patient-focused care. He aims to ensure that every patient is fully informed and actively involved in decisions about their hearing health.
